Description

SimplyPaye Mobile Money Gateway adds Orange Money, Airtel Money, M-Pesa and Visa card payments for online stores in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It works as a payment gateway when the required e-commerce plugin dependency is installed (see Requires Plugins header).

At checkout, the customer can choose Mobile Money (USSD push on their phone) or Visa card (secure redirect).

Trademarks: This plugin is developed by SimplyPaye. “SimplyPaye” is the payment service operated by SimplyPaye.

No analytics or user tracking: The plugin does not include analytics, advertising, or behavioral tracking. It only sends payment-related data to SimplyPaye when a customer chooses this payment method at checkout.

Setup: install the required e-commerce dependency, then go to Settings Payments SimplyPaye and enter your merchant code. An optional API key is recommended for new accounts.

External services

This plugin connects to third-party services operated by SimplyPaye. Data is sent only when a store owner configures the gateway and when a customer initiates or checks a payment.

SimplyPaye Payment API

What it is and why: HTTPS API used to initiate Mobile Money payments and poll payment status after the customer confirms the USSD push on their phone.
Endpoint: https://api-simply-pay.net (configurable in gateway settings; default shown above).
When data is sent: On checkout when the customer submits an order with this payment method; when the order thank-you page polls for status; when SimplyPaye calls back to your store (reference and order number only).
Data sent: merchant code, optional API key (header), order reference, order total, currency (CDF or USD), customer Mobile Money phone number, store order identifier.

SimplyPaye merchant portal (onboarding)

What it is and why: Web portal where merchants create a SimplyPaye account and obtain their merchant code.
URL: https://www.marchand-simplypaye.store (linked from the gateway settings screen; opened in the browser by the store administrator only).
When data is sent: Only if the administrator visits the link and registers on that website (outside this plugin).

Installation

Install and activate the e-commerce plugin listed in Requires Plugins.
Upload the plugin folder to /wp-content/plugins/
Activate through the ‘Plugins’ menu
Settings Payments SimplyPaye enter merchant code

Do I need a SimplyPaye merchant account?: Yes. Register at https://www.marchand-simplypaye.store and copy your merchant code into the gateway settings.
