## Description

### TWIPLA – WEBSITE INTELLIGENCE

TWIPLA is an advanced **privacy-flexible website intelligence platform** that helps
businesses understand visitor behavior, measure website performance, and improve
digital experiences.

The analytics solution gives marketers, website owners, agencies, and digital teams
visibility into visitor behavior without relying on **traditional cookie-based analytics**
that can miss significant portions of traffic.

Designed for organizations that need accurate insights while balancing privacy requirements,
TWIPLA helps teams analyze website performance, understand visitor journeys, identify
usability issues, and optimize conversions. Users can move from high-level metrics
to **session recordings, heatmaps, funnels, and event tracking** to investigate
trends and take action.

Flexible privacy settings allow businesses to align data collection with **GDPR,
CCPA, and ePrivacy requirements**, while maintaining visibility into visitor activity
across individual websites or entire domain portfolios.

Trusted by **more than 2.5 million websites worldwide**, including Wix, WP Engine,
and TYPO3, TWIPLA provides dedicated onboarding resources, documentation, live training
opportunities, product walkthroughs, and customer support teams to help organizations
get value from their data quickly.

A **free TWIPLA plan, a 30-day Premium trial, and scalable pricing** make it easy
for businesses of all sizes to find a plan that fits their needs.

### KEY BENEFITS OF TWIPLA

TWIPLA helps organizations overcome common analytics limitations, by providing greater
visibility into visitor activity, connecting insights across tools, and supporting
privacy-conscious data collection:

 * **Recover more visitor data:** Traditional analytics can lose visibility due
to consent requirements, ad blockers, browser restrictions, and cookie limitations.
TWIPLA helps organizations maintain a more complete view of visitor activity.
 * **Reduce software costs and complexity:** Replace multiple analytics, behavior
analytics, conversion tracking, and feedback tools with a single platform that
brings data together in one place.
 * **Access real-time, unsampled reporting:** Monitor visitor activity as it happens
and make decisions based on complete datasets rather than sampled estimates.
 * **Make insights easier to understand and share:** Transform website data into
intuitive dashboards and reports that can be shared across teams and stakeholders.
 * **Adapt to evolving privacy requirements:** Configure privacy settings to align
data collection with GDPR, CCPA, ePrivacy, and organization-specific compliance
   requirements.

## Installation

You can install TWIPLA using the WordPress plugin or by adding the tracking code
manually. To connect your website and begin collecting data, you will need to [create a free TWIPLA account](https://app.twipla.com/register?utm_source=wordpress&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=wordpress-plugin-listing&utm_content=installation-introduction-registration)
or sign in to an existing account.

**WordPress.com requirement:** Both installation methods require a paid WordPress.
com plan. Plugin installation and custom JavaScript are not available on free WordPress.
com websites. This is separate from your TWIPLA subscription—you can use the plugin
with the TWIPLA Free plan. These WordPress.com plan requirements do not apply to
self-hosted WordPress websites where you have the necessary administrator permissions.

### Option A — Install the TWIPLA WordPress plugin (recommended)

Use this method if your WordPress setup allows plugin installation. If **Plugins
> Add New** is not available in your dashboard, check your administrator permissions
or WordPress.com plan.

 1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
 2. Navigate to **Plugins > Add New**.
 3. Enter **TWIPLA** in the **Search plugins…** field.
 4. Select **Install Now**, then select **Activate** once installation is complete.
 5. [Create a free TWIPLA account](https://app.twipla.com/register?utm_source=wordpress&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=wordpress-plugin-listing&utm_content=installation-plugin-registration)
or sign in to your existing account.
 6. Add your WordPress website to your TWIPLA account.
 7. In TWIPLA, navigate to **Website Settings > Tracking Code** and copy the **Website
     ID**.
 8. Return to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to **Settings > TWIPLA**.
 9. Paste the **Website ID** into the corresponding field and select **Save ID**.
 10. Open a public page on your website, then select **Click here to verify your installation**
or **Verify** in the confirmation banner.

Once the connection has been verified, the tracking-code status under **Website
Settings > Tracking Code** in TWIPLA will show **Successfully Installed**.

See the [TWIPLA WordPress installation guide](https://www.twipla.com/en/support/integrating-with-other-platforms/wordpress?utm_source=wordpress&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=wordpress-plugin-listing&utm_content=installation-wordpress-guide)
for additional help.

### Option B — Add the TWIPLA tracking code manually

If your WordPress setup allows custom JavaScript, you can install TWIPLA without
using the WordPress plugin:

 1. [Create a free TWIPLA account](https://app.twipla.com/register?utm_source=wordpress&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=wordpress-plugin-listing&utm_content=installation-manual-registration)
or sign in to your existing account.
 2. Add your WordPress website to your TWIPLA account.
 3. Navigate to **Website Settings > Tracking Code** and copy the complete tracking
    code.
 4. Add the tracking code immediately before the closing `</body>` tag on every page
of your website. You can do this through your WordPress theme files or by using
    a suitable code-insertion or header-and-footer plugin.
 5. Save and publish your changes, clear any website cache, and open a public page
    on your website.
 6. Return to **Website Settings > Tracking Code** in TWIPLA and verify the installation.

See the [tracking-code installation guide](https://www.twipla.com/en/support/how-to-install-the-tracking-code?utm_source=wordpress&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=wordpress-plugin-listing&utm_content=installation-tracking-code-guide)
for detailed instructions.

**Important:** Use either the WordPress plugin or the manual tracking code—not both.
Using both installation methods may result in duplicate tracking.

## FAQ

### Do I need a TWIPLA account to use TWIPLA on WordPress?

Yes. A TWIPLA account is required to connect your WordPress website, collect website
data, and access your analytics.

If your WordPress setup allows plugin installation, you can install and activate
the TWIPLA plugin before creating an account. However, the setup will not be complete
until you add your website to TWIPLA and enter its **Website ID** under **Settings
> TWIPLA**.

If you choose the manual installation method, you will still need a TWIPLA account
to add your website and obtain its tracking code.

You can [create a free TWIPLA account](https://app.twipla.com/register?utm_source=wordpress&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=wordpress-plugin-listing&utm_content=faq-account-registration)
to get started.

### Is a free TWIPLA plan available?

Yes. TWIPLA offers a **free forever plan**.

New users also receive a **30-day Premium trial**, with no credit card or paid subscription
required. When the trial ends, you can continue using TWIPLA on the Free plan or
select a paid plan based on your traffic volume and feature requirements.

Your TWIPLA plan is separate from your WordPress hosting plan. WordPress.com users
need a paid WordPress.com plan to install the plugin or add the tracking code, but
they can use TWIPLA on its Free plan.

Visit the [TWIPLA pricing page](https://www.twipla.com/en/pricing?utm_source=wordpress&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=wordpress-plugin-listing&utm_content=faq-pricing)
for current plan details.

### Why do businesses see more website visitor data in TWIPLA?

Many analytics platforms only record visitors when three conditions are met:

 * The visitor’s browser allows cookies.
 * The visitor accepts the cookie consent banner.
 * The tracking script loads without being blocked.

If any of these fail, the visit never appears in analytics reports.

As privacy regulations, consent banners, browser tracking prevention, and ad blockers
become more widespread, businesses can lose visibility into a significant share
of their website activity. In many cases, traditional analytics platforms miss **
60–80% of real visitor traffic**.

TWIPLA is designed to address all three sources of data loss and effectively tracks**
100% of site traffic**.

The platform uses **[Cookieless Tracking](https://www.twipla.com/en/why-us/cookieless-tracking?utm_source=wordpress&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=wordpress-plugin-listing&utm_content=faq-cookieless-tracking)**
across all privacy modes, reducing reliance on technologies that modern browsers
increasingly restrict. In lower privacy modes, this can include privacy-friendly
identification methods that do not depend on traditional cookies. In **[Maximum Privacy Mode](https://www.twipla.com/en/why-us/maximum-data-privacy-mode?utm_source=wordpress&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=wordpress-plugin-listing&utm_content=faq-maximum-privacy-mode)**,
TWIPLA tracks traffic without cookies, fingerprinting, or other identifying technologies.

When a consent banner is in place and a visitor declines tracking, TWIPLA falls
back to its consentless Maximum Privacy Mode. This allows traffic measurement to
continue even when consent is not granted, preventing a major source of reporting
gaps that affects many analytics platforms.

TWIPLA also supports **[First-Party Tracking](https://www.twipla.com/en/why-us/first-party-tracking-code-setup?utm_source=wordpress&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=wordpress-plugin-listing&utm_content=faq-first-party-tracking)**.
While many analytics tools load their tracking scripts from domains that are recognized
by ad blockers and browser privacy features, TWIPLA can deliver its tracking code
through a domain owned by the business itself. Because the script appears as a natural
first-party asset rather than a known third-party tracking resource, it is far less
likely to be blocked before it executes.

By combining cookieless tracking, consentless fallback tracking, and first-party
tracking-code delivery, TWIPLA restores visibility into website activity that many
traditional analytics platforms never record. The result is a much more complete
picture of real traffic, visitor behavior, and conversion opportunities.

### How does TWIPLA help businesses meet different privacy requirements?

TWIPLA provides four privacy modes: **Light Privacy, Medium Privacy, GDPR Privacy,
and Maximum Privacy**. These allow organizations to balance the depth of their analytics
data with their privacy requirements.

Maximum Privacy Mode is enabled by default and operates without cookies, fingerprinting,
IP tracking, or identifiable visitor histories. Lower privacy modes provide access
to additional visitor insights and may require consent, depending on the website’s
configuration and applicable requirements.

On eligible plans, the **[Privacy Center](https://www.twipla.com/en/support/all-about-features/privacy-center?utm_source=wordpress&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=wordpress-plugin-listing&utm_content=faq-privacy-center)**
also supports country-specific configurations, allowing organizations to apply different
privacy settings based on visitor location.

Website owners remain responsible for selecting settings appropriate to their legal
and organizational requirements.

### How can TWIPLA help teams improve website conversions?

TWIPLA connects website performance data, visitor behavior insights, and conversion
outcomes in one platform:

 * **[Conversion Analytics](https://www.twipla.com/en/features/website-statistics/advanced-conversion-analytics?utm_source=wordpress&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=wordpress-plugin-listing&utm_content=faq-conversion-analytics):**
Provides visibility into conversion performance across products, campaigns, traffic
   sources, devices, and visitor segments.
 * **[Conversion Funnels](https://www.twipla.com/en/features/visitor-behavior/conversion-funnels?utm_source=wordpress&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=wordpress-plugin-listing&utm_content=faq-conversion-funnels):**
Shows where visitors progress, abandon, or encounter difficulties during important
   website journeys.
 * **[Event Tracking](https://www.twipla.com/en/features/visitor-behavior/event-tracking?utm_source=wordpress&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=wordpress-plugin-listing&utm_content=faq-event-tracking):**
Measures interactions such as form submissions, button clicks, downloads, and
   purchases.
 * **[Session Recordings](https://www.twipla.com/en/features/visitor-behavior/session-recordings?utm_source=wordpress&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=wordpress-plugin-listing&utm_content=faq-session-recordings):**
Helps teams review individual visitor journeys and investigate the behaviors
   behind conversion outcomes.
 * **[Page Heatmaps](https://www.twipla.com/en/features/visitor-behavior/page-heatmaps?utm_source=wordpress&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=wordpress-plugin-listing&utm_content=faq-page-heatmaps):**
Reveals engagement patterns and potential friction points across important pages.
 * **[eCommerce Statistics](https://www.twipla.com/en/features/website-statistics/ecommerce-statistics?utm_source=wordpress&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=wordpress-plugin-listing&utm_content=faq-ecommerce-statistics):**
Gives online stores additional visibility into sales performance, revenue trends,
   purchasing behavior, products, and campaigns.

Together, these tools help teams identify bottlenecks, prioritize improvements,
and make more informed optimization decisions.

### Can I manage multiple websites and domains with TWIPLA?

Yes. You can add and manage an **unlimited number of websites** within one TWIPLA
account.

Websites can remain on the TWIPLA Free plan or use separate paid TWIPLA plans based
on their individual traffic and feature requirements.

This makes TWIPLA suitable for website owners, agencies, franchises, enterprises,
SaaS providers, and other organizations managing multiple digital properties.

### What customer support is available?

TWIPLA provides self-service resources, direct assistance, and tailored guidance
to help organizations get value from the platform:

   requirements.

### How do I remove TWIPLA from WordPress?

If you installed TWIPLA using the WordPress plugin:

 1. Open **Plugins** in your WordPress dashboard.
 2. Find **TWIPLA** in the list of installed plugins.
 3. Select **Deactivate**.
 4. Once the plugin has been deactivated, select **Delete**.

If you installed TWIPLA manually, remove the tracking code from your WordPress theme
files or the code-insertion plugin used to add it.

Removing the plugin or tracking code stops TWIPLA from loading through that installation
method. It does not automatically delete your TWIPLA account or previously collected
data.

To permanently delete the website and its historical data, remove the website separately
from your TWIPLA account settings. Export any data you want to retain before doing
so, because website deletion is permanent.

I’ve been using Visitor Analytics(now TWIPLA) for a few weeks and the detailed visitor
statistics have been eye-opening.For example, the location stats showed a chunk
of traffic was coming from Canada so I translated key pages into French. The recent
statistics and weekly/monthly views make it simple to spot trends. The easy-to-use
dashboard and insightful statistics have led to some nice improvements. Recommend!

I am not an expert of plugins and software in general but some year ago I installed
Visitor Analytics and since then I had no need to search for another one. The use
of the plugin is quite intuitive and it answers most of my needs. Some features
like the global map of my visitors with different gradients of colors are really
appreciated.
